Today, May 9: Dinner & Fundraiser For UNI Students

This Friday, May 9 Please come and enjoy a delicious dinner and help support the high school students involved with the Urban Nutrition Initiative's garden and food education/cooking programs

6pm - 8pm @ the Calvary Community Center, 48th and Baltimore

3 course Dinner featuring local and organic foods, vegetarian and meat options, bread from Metropolitan Bakery, ice cream from Franklin Fountain, dessert from Rx, and more!

Plus live music from Gina Ferrera and a raffle featuring a $50 gift certificate to Reading Terminal Market, hand-crafted wooden utensils, cutting boards and more (great Mother’s Day gifts)! Suggested donation: $15-50

These students are trying to raise money to get to The Rooted in Community National Conference this summer. The conference is an opportunity for young people involved in agriculture and food justice to lead workshops and learn from others doing similar work across the country.
